Hemsworth – Male, 3 Year Old

Hemsworth was found as a stray ending up in an overcrowded shelter. Terrified in the shelter he was a bit grumbly the first few days but steadily improved as he adjusted to the loud, hectic environment. He tolerated the medical exam without the need for restraint. Unfortunately, his communication of being tense and growly the first few days resulted in a “Rescue Only” label—rescue was his only hope. His bilateral cherry eye was impeding his vision and thought to be contributing to the grumbling in his kennel (he literally could not see). To make matters worse for this poor guy he contracted an upper respiratory infection that resulted in a quarantine status. Hemsworth is a rockstar on leash, he enjoys squeaky toys, and neck scratches.

Medical Needs: Upper Respiratory Infection, Cherry Eye; Shelter neutered him and began treatment for URI; MLCR had his cherry eye surgically removed and medications for the URI have successfully addressed it.
