Arlo – 2 Year Old, Male Cane Corso

Meet Arlo! This resilient boy is discovering just how wonderful life can be. After recovering from a gunshot wound, multiple surgeries, and a serious infection, Arlo is enjoying the simple pleasures of being a dog: walks, zoomies with his best friend, lake adventures, ice cream, and cozy movie nights with his humans. He is affectionate, trusting, and eager to keep exploring the world around him.

Arlo will need a patient, understanding adopter who recognizes that past trauma can still trigger fear responses. Sudden noises or certain handling, such as reaching for his collar, may frighten him. He communicates his discomfort clearly, and his people must respect his signals and help him feel safe. He is continuing to work on crate training and fence reactivity.

Arlo would do best in an adult home without children, with an experienced, compassionate adopter committed to helping him continue to thrive. He can live with a dog-savvy cat and may be compatible with a female dog of similar size. A neutral male dog of similar size may also be possible with careful introductions. Arlo is still completing heartworm treatment, and MLCR will support his family throughout the process. This special boy has fought hard for his second chance and is ready for a forever home built on patience, kindness, and trust.

This Cane Corso is one of the newest dogs welcomed into Must Love Corsos Rescue (MLCR), a volunteer-driven nonprofit Cane Corso rescue. New intakes are currently being evaluated while new in foster care or receiving necessary medical treatment. Follow Must Love Corsos Rescue on Facebook for updates as their journey continues. Once a Corso is ready for adoption, they will move from our New Intakes to our Available for Adoption listings with updated photos and additional details.
