Bodhi’s story as we know it…a good Samaritan was at the vet picking up the remains of his beloved Corso who had recently passed away. Another good Samaritan brought Bodhi to the vet after finding him as a stray. The true owner was tracked down; he relinquished all rights of Bodhi to the vet, with the understanding that Bodhi would be surrendered to the shelter.

Our good Samaritan couldn’t let that happen, so he opened his heart and home temporarily to this handsome fella with the hopes of finding a reputable breed specific rescue. During the wait time this good Samaritan worked on getting Bodhi vetted, socialized (a constant), house trained, crate trained, and basic manners (sit, stay, shake, and down). Although he fell head over heels in love with this 9-month-old boy, he was still grieving for the companion he recently lost and still had an aging canine living in a 600 square foot condo, he wanted more for Bodhi.

With the availability of an MLCR foster a few hours away, Bodhi was welcomed with open arms and hearts to our family. Bodhi is doing well in his foster family as he learns all about life living on a farm. As expected with his age, he is a rambunctious puppy with ample curiosity about the world in which he lives in.
